The condition of our current organ console is deteriorating and this has necessitated the need of purchasing a new organ console. The video below demonstrates our organ and what is currently wrong with it.
Organ Fund
The total purchase price of the new console is $153,725, including applicable sales tax, etc. As of August 15, 2011, we have raised $82,567.84 cash-in-hand and have further pledges of $35,000
which will be in-hand in January 2012. The finance committee has recommended that we have $100,000 cash-in-hand by the date on which we must place the order for the new console to be able to
secure the $153,725 sale price. The date in question is September 13, 2011; a "deadline" of August 29, 2011 has been suggested as the date when we can have the $100,000 in-hand and proceed with the order. That means we have to raise about $17,433 before the August 29 deadline (based on August 15 figures).
However....WE ARE First United Methodist Church of Benton. WE CAN have the total purchase price of $153,725 in-hand before August 29. Have YOU donated to the Organ Fund?
